Different types of Indian Parathas

Parathas are very popular breakfast all over India. They are one of the categories of Indian bread which are now available in all Indian restaurants. There are various types of parathas namely plain parathas and stuffed parathas. Some of the famous stuffed parathas are as follows. Aloo paratha is the dish in which paratha is stuffed with aloo mixture. Make dough of wheat flour. First boil the potatoes peel it and mash it. Then mix it with the spice powders, salt and finely chopped green chillies. Then take a piece of dough and roll it into a small circle. Put the stuff in the middle of dough and close the ends. Then roll it normally as you do for a chapathi. Then fry it with ghee. Gobi paratha is often made by Punjabis as breakfast. These parathas taste better when served with white butter or mango pickle.

Grate the gobi finely and mix it with green chillies. Then add red chilli powder, salt and garam masala powder to the grated gobi. Stuff it as told earlier, roll it and fry with ghee properly. Methi paratha is the other famous Indian dish which is very tasty. Wash the methi or fenugreek leaves properly. Drain the water away thoroughly. Later finely chop the leaves. Take a bowl and mix chopped methi leaves with finely chopped green chillies, garlic, grated ginger for good taste, turmeric powder, and oil. Then mix it properly. Stuff the dough with this mixture. Roll it and fry properly with ghee. Egg paratha is the other non veg dish which is very tasty. Heat the oil in a pan. Add the onions and fry it till they become translucent.  Later add ginger garlic paste, chopped green chillies, coriander powder, salt and turmeric. Now break the eggs into this mixture and mix it quickly. This will become egg scramble. You can add lemon juice for your taste. Finally stuff this mixture in the dough. Roll it and fry properly with ghee.
